KINDERGARTEN ENRICHMENT PROGRAM

We Now Offer a Morning as well as an Afternoon Kindergarten Enrichment class

Our Morning class begins at 9am - 12pm
Our Afternoon Class begins at 12pm - 3pm

Goals: To help children develop to their full potential in all skill areas while fostering a care for others.

Our philosophy for the Kindergarten Enrichment program is that our program is both age appropriate
and individualized. Our curriculum aims to provide individualized instruction by observing each child's
growth patterns, learning style, and personality with the teacher adjusting her interactions & lessons
as needed. Children are encouraged to explore, gain information and master new skills through real life
situations and hands-on activities within learning centers and teacher directed lessons. The teacher will
add to the learning experience by asking open ended questions, adding materials to further the child's
involvement, and interacting in a way that promotes the development of problem solving and social skills.

This program is meant to enhance what your child is learning in kindergarten as well as offer added experiences
that will strengthen their academic skills. Our kindergarten enrichment teacher is in contact with the kindergarten
teachers of the school district so that the lessons she prepares will benefit each child’s needs. Children will
engage in enrichment activities and extensions of the kindergarten curriculum during the kindergarten enrichment class.
The program will allow more time to be spent on: oral language, phonemic awareness, language arts, technology, music
& creative movement, small group work, social interaction, physical education & greater amount of one-on-one attention.
Our enrichment program weaves academic concepts such as number logic, reading, classifying, writing, and reasoning
into fun-filled art, science and movement activities.

A session at the Tall Pines Kindergarten Enrichment class generally progresses as follows. The times for outdoor
and gym play may vary so that each class can be assured ample time and room on the playground.
